Leadership Team

William Anlyan

Will oversees corporate strategy, operations, business development and compliance initiatives at Dectiva. Will has over 15 years of experience in the finance and primary market research industries, specializing in working closely with top institutional investors, and corporate and government decision makers to identify their specific research needs and formulate executable strategies to deliver actionable research results.

Prior to co-founding Dectiva, Will was Vice President at investment bank, Wedbush Securities, in Los Angeles where he oversaw all business development functions of the bank's primary research division, Decision Metrics. In this role, he was responsible for client management, new client acquisition, pricing, vendor relations, and the coordination of multiple joint undertakings with the bank's research, sales/trading, investment banking, and private equity divisions. Prior to joining Wedbush, Will was Senior Director of Client Development at Greenfield Online (acquired by Microsoft), the world's largest provider of global consumer attitudes about products and services.

Dan Meichenbaum

Dan has over 20 years of experience designing and managing survey-based research studies and performing data analysis and predictive modeling.

Prior to co-founding Dectiva, Dan was recruited in 2007 by San Francisco based investment bank Pacific Growth Equities to lead the product design and project execution for Decision Metrics, a proprietary primary market research platform targeting institutional investment, venture capital, private equity, and corporate entities. Following acquisition of Pacific Growth Equities by Wedbush Securities in 2009, Dan and his team continued to grow Decision Metrics into one of the most unique and valuable primary market research product offerings specifically targeting the investment community. Prior to joining Pacific Growth Equities, Dan was owner and Principal Consultant with Health Research Consulting, Senior Director of Analytics at Loyalty Matrix, and Senior Market Research Analyst at ConsumerData International. Dan attended Simon Fraser University, Vancouver, Canada, where he conducted research in the field of human neurophysiology and gained extensive training in research design and quantitative analysis.

Senior Research Team

Hao-Chau Tran

Hao-Chau has been providing strategic market research and planning support to the pharmaceutical industry for 17 years. Her consulting experience has included strategy development at the corporate, franchise and product level, as well as market and opportunity assessments that support partnering activities and new product planning. Her therapeutic expertise includes oncology, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, dermatology, women's health, gastroenterology and cardiovascular diseases.

Hao-Chau has served multinational pharmaceutical firms, domestic specialty pharmaceutical companies, biotechs, discovery and device companies.

Previously, Hao-Chau has been Managing Partner with Hygea Strategies, Managing Director within Navigant Consulting's life science practice and a Partner with Front Line Strategic Consulting, Inc., overseeing project teams and leading the development of innovative analytical methodologies. She has facilitated workshops, supported decision making and developed new processes for senior executives, product managers and research teams. She holds a B.A. in Quantitative Economics from Stanford University.

Eric A. Rudich, Ph.D.

Eric has conducted hundreds of qualitative and quantitative market research studies over the past 20 years. As a social psychologist, he is an expert in understanding consumer psychology and evaluating behavioral trends. He also has considerable experience conducting market research studies in the life sciences on behalf of pharmaceutical and medical device companies as well as for the investment community across a wide range of therapeutic areas.

Previously, Eric worked as an analyst for the Gartner Group and conducted brand research for Siegel + Gale, a New York-based branding agency. He was also a partner with Critical Decision Research, a firm that provided large institutional investors with analysis and recommendations on likely outcomes of high-stakes litigation for publicly traded companies. Eric received a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Florida, a M.A. in Experimental Psychology from Florida Atlantic University and a Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Dave Zagorski, Ph.D.

Over his more than 10 years with Dectiva (and 20 total years in the research sector), Dave has conducted hundreds of customized studies in fields ranging from consumer behavior to health care to international trends in online activity.

A former research consultant with Kaiser Permanente, WesCorp, and Dimitrius & Associates, he is an expert in understanding decision-making at the individual and group level. He has worked in the healthcare, legal, and banking sectors and has designed predictive research models for high-stakes litigation.

Dave received a B.A. in Management from the University of Wisconsin, an MBA in Management and an M.A. in Research Psychology from California State University, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from Claremont Graduate University.

Rachel Lopez, Ph.D.

Rachel has consulted for non-profit and for-profit companies in a variety of industries ranging from healthcare and education to the automotive and manufacturing trades. Relying on her background in statical analyses and research design, Rachel partners with clients to develop surveys and focus group guides, collect and analyze data, and deliver reports aimed at providing clients with robust information they can rely upon for informed decision-making.

Rachel holds a B.A. in Psychology from Gonzaga University, an M.A. in Psychology with a Concentration in Evaluation and Organizational Behavior from Claremont Graduate University, and a Ph.D. in Psychology with a Concentration in Evaluation and Applied Research Methods from Claremont Graduate University.
